MOUNTAIN-SPIRITED in its landscapes: from alpine chalets to snowy mountain passes and high-altitude lakes, the Ultra-Trail® du Haut-Giffre offers participants the chance to move through a truly alpine environment, rich in the diversity unique to this setting.

MOUNTAIN-SPIRITED in its elevation gain: with an average elevation gain close to 70 to 80 meters per kilometer (!) on its main courses, the Ultra-Trail® du Haut-Giffre stands out as one of the steepest on the circuit, requiring top physical condition!

MOUNTAIN-SPIRITED in its technical demands: beyond the significant elevation gain, the Ultra-Trail® du Haut-Giffre is also demanding in terms of the technical skills needed to complete it: snowy sections, steep slopes, exposed trails, shale, rock… Forget rolling tracks—there are very few of those on our routes!

MOUNTAIN-SPIRITED in its spirit: humility, mutual support among participants, personal challenge, respect for the natural spaces crossed… all the great values of the mountains come together on our trail, forming its very essence!
